This Blog was started in October 2010.
When travelling it’s hard to know where the good stuff is in a city. Sure there’s event sites, Google searches and that recommendation from the drunk Irish girl you met in Slovenia but sometimes you just need a local to show you round.
This is what this blog is all about.

‘I almost made it there’
‘It was just out of my budget’
‘Is that near Sydney?’
SO, if you’ve realised Perth is not near Sydney, and worth checking out – we’d like you to know some of our favourite things 
This is not an events blog OR a comprehensive listing of all-things-Perth. If you’d like links to some of these they are pasted below. Instead we hope this blog will slowly (because we’re fairly relaxed about deadlines here ) collect some of Perth-peoples favourite things so that you can find them too.
If something is listed here it doesn’t mean it’s the best or the only cafe/park/music night etc it just means that someone likes it, likes it a LOT. So you might too.

I would recommend trying out cafe mueller, 12 William St, Midland.. it is one of my most favourite and quirky alternative cafes in Perth.. it is worth the trek! german cuisine, very cheap, hidden in someone’s house with a rather eccentric host.. fun!
